Class BackupHealthCheck
The engine's backup health (Status) as an ITyphonHealthCheck: Off and Ok are Healthy, Warning and Degraded are Degraded, Failing is Unhealthy. The description is the status's reason. Reads the published snapshot: nothing is computed or locked.
public sealed class BackupHealthCheck : ITyphonHealthCheck

BackupHealthCheck

- Inherited Members
Remarks
Off is Healthy here and exit 3 for typhon backup status, deliberately: this check answers "is the service healthy" (an engine with no backup
configured is not failing), the CLI "does this database have a backup I can trust" (one with none does not).
Constructors
BackupHealthCheck(DatabaseEngine)
Creates the check over engine.
public BackupHealthCheck(DatabaseEngine engine)
Parameters
engineDatabaseEngineThe engine whose backups are judged.
Methods
CheckHealth()
Perform a quick health check, returning only the status.
public HealthStatus CheckHealth()
Returns
- HealthStatus
Current health status.
Remarks
This is optimized for frequent polling (e.g., Kubernetes liveness probes). Uses FindMostUtilized() for O(n) complexity.
GetDetailedResult()
Perform a detailed health check with diagnostic information.
public HealthCheckResult GetDetailedResult()
Returns
- HealthCheckResult
Detailed health check result including metrics data.
Remarks
Provides additional context for debugging and dashboards:
- The resource with highest utilization
- All resources above degraded threshold
- Contention hotspots
Map(BackupHealth)
The health check's status for a backup health.
public static HealthStatus Map(BackupHealth health)
