Deferred = 4

Its job ended without a point and without a failure: the store held by another writer, or the engine closing. Ask again.

Failed = 2

Its job failed.

Published = 1

Its point is published and verified (Point; a suspect point is still published).

Refused = 3

The engine refused it for good before any job started (write tracking off, an engine fault, a store it cannot write).

Running = 0

Its job runs.
