Fields

Committed = 3

Data pages checkpointed. WAL segments recyclable.

Free = 0

Slot available for reuse. Default state for zeroed memory.

Pending = 1

Created, transactions may be in progress. WAL records volatile.

Void = 4

Crash recovery: UoW was Pending at crash time. All revisions invisible.

WalDurable = 2

WAL flush complete (FUA). Survives crash. Pages may still be dirty.

Remarks

Free → Pending → WalDurable → Committed → Free (normal path)
Free → Pending → Void → Free (crash recovery path, after GC)
